Very good ‘cheap’ gps if looking on behalf of basic navigation

I have had this unit as about 8 months. It obtain given me not problems what very ever. The wicked thing about it as me is how fundamental it is. If you want bluetooth compatibility, traffic updates, movie times, etc upon your gps, at that time this is not the device as you. But if everyone you want is until arouse around and find places, at that time this unit will work well.

The price seems a little high right now as what it does ($180). For that price i would expect bluetooth compatibility. This unit does not say the road names, it impartial says turn left or turn right inside 200 feet(not a big deal). When you appear places up, Garmin nuvi 205W GPS obtain their phone number and address (usually) which is nice because if its late in the direction of night, you tin call first until see if they are still open.

The screen is extremely bright during the day, very you tin easily see the screen. The trip features are nice. It keeps track of your average speed, how long you spent moving, how long you spent stopped, total travel time, how many miles you’ve gone, etc.

It takes about a minute until a minute and a half until find your location from a cold start, but if you leave it powered everyone the time (with a car inside which the cig lighter stays upon when you turn the car off) it never loses the location (not sure if that is wicked as it).

The battery life is extremely considerate (about 4-5 hours).

There are many add-ons that a technologically advanced person tin add until it. Such as custom points of interest (you tin download them or even make your own, and you tin set alerts very that it warns you when you are close until a certain place or when you are speeding inside a school zone). You tin add different vehicle icons until exploited as the car upon the screen.

Overall, it is a decent, but extremely fundamental navigation device. Not many bells or whistles, but it gets you from point a until point b well.
