Our set came a couple hours ago – small ding in the metal outer shell on the top/back/center, not visible from front and does not appear to affect anything at all.
Picture is very great (understand, we’re coming from a 25 year old Sony console/tube).
The menu/setup provides many presets for the picture and sound. First thing I did was to plug in the actual network cable to perform the firmware upgrade.
Your on-board tuner picked up Fityfive OTA channels, our Roku will be plugged into HDMI-1 and the The bluray in HDMI-2. Image from each is great and brings us room to Panasonic VIERA TC-P50X3 life. My partner and i hooked up both the outdated tube console and the Panasonic (we’re using the console as the stand for the particular Panasonic right now) simultaneously that compares and it’s obviously quantity of difference.
I have been a holdout for years refusing to quit our tubes when they were still working fine (which they still accomplish), but, the price has been right – therefore it was time to come to the 21st century. Hopefully we’ll get many years from the jawhorse – at least corresponding the 20+ we’ve become out of the console it can be replacing.
Only issue that could have made that better – basically had waited a couple of days more before buying because the price dropped a bit more. Still very happy though.
