The Garmin Forerunner 305 GPS is a vast improvement over my garmin 301 and 201. the heart rate watch really does work unlike my 301 that failed with in a month or two. I am a avid trail runner. many of my training runs involve canyons and forested areas. I have yet over indefinite a signal during my runs. I recently completed the pike’s maximum ascent using my garmin 305 and noticed that i quiet ended increase with issues dealing with the switch backs. the garmin was .38 tenths off on behalf of the total distance, no, non- over unsatisfactory on behalf of the number of switch back. because on behalf of the heart rate monitor, it works well and is confortable, but expected over my poor experience with the heart rate watch upon the garmin 301 my vote is quiet out upon it’s long term use.
