I could write everyone day about how wonderful this inexperienced toshiba digital tuner dvd recorder is only won’t waste your time with facts many won’t understand fair saying i obtain been using 3 panasonic dvd recorders with built inside analog tuners for over 3 years. I received this unit inside july when it became available and it is great. Look no further if you are looking for a dvd recorder with a built inside digital tuner. It works flawlessly, is priced crude toward amazon and i obtain not had one coaster yet or had it not accept a particular brand of blank media even though i recommend sticking with the superior tayio-yuden dvds made inside japan. The panasonics were everyone picky about brands of blank dvds and the different formats they tin be purchased inside. I found this unit was pretty easy into set increased and later scanning for everyone available channels on my cable system i was ready into go. The recorded results i gratify later recording on any of the digital or high def channels are beautiful. To gratify the best picture, i always record on the alternate high def digital channel that is available on everyone the major networks including 3 pbs channels on my cable system. My one complaint is what another reviewer has mentioned, the horrible tiny, dull grey printing on the dark black remote control! If only they had used bright white paint instead of the dull gray print on the black case owners might obtain been able into see what command you are pushing. It is almost impossible into read without bright light inside the room. I obtain learned into remember what button is which from memory only Toshiba DR570 makes me crazy thinking if they had only used the same white print they placed on the tiny buttons! I am sorry i cannot write more giving details about this recorder only you tin gratify that elsewhere. I will fair tell you this product does what it is supposed into do perfectly and does it very well. I highly recommend this unit and the price has dropped since i bought mine inside july making it even a better deal.
